Global Connect's real-time reporting feature allows you to see instantly who has received your message, and the system lets you decide how often and how many times you will retry the call. With our Direct-Connect to Dispatch feature, residents can contact the dispatch center with the touch of a button to confirm their condition or request more information. The system also allows residents to leave a detailed message by simply pressing a button. Case Study

In spring of 2007, a fast-moving fire raced through a residential area in Southern New Jersey, threatening homes in and around a particular Borough. Officials attempted to reach residents with an evacuation notice, but the auto dialer that they used for more routine messages simply did not offer the power and speed that they needed to reach the entire community quickly enough. While no one was seriously injured in the blaze, thousands were evacuated, and more than 17,000 acres were burned over a six day period. "We're extremely lucky that none of our residents was hurt, said the Director of Emergency Management for the Borough. "Trying to call so many residents with an auto dialer was so ineffective that it created chaos and confusion. Once emergency personnel learned that the Borough's school district was using Global Connect and was pleased with the results, they called our office. Within an hour, they had established accounts and were prepared to send a message in the event of a crisis. "Hopefully, we won't have to reach our residents with such an urgent message for some time, the Director said, "but if we do, at least we know that this time, we'll have the speed and capacity we need to reach them quickly.
